Young Child Dies After Being Rushed To Hospital In Santa Clarita, No Crime Suspected

A young child died after being rushed to the hospital Wednesday evening in Santa Clarita after suffering from cardiac arrest.

Around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of a medical emergency involving a child in the 18000 block of Arial Way in Santa Clarita, according to officials.

“It was a cardiac arrest,” said Esteban Benitez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station escorted the ambulance to the hospital by blocking off intersections, according to officials on scene.

Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau confirmed the child passed.

“We did have a child that passed away,” said Deputy Sajardo, with the Homicide Bureau.
As of Thursday morning, Sajardo said, the child passed from natural causes, and there is no suspected crime related to their death.

The age of the child is unknown as of Thursday morning.

  1. My heart goes out to the family and friends of this child. No one should have to bury their child. God bless them all.

  2. Was the child recently given the Covid shot?

  3. Two year-olds aren’t getting the shot.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
