I'm volunteering on a project to help improve distribution of Evusheld, a drug given to immunocompromised people who do not respond to COVID vaccines by developing antibodies. Evusheld gives them a reasonable degree of immunity by delivering the antibodies. US distribution has been grotesquely bad, with 3/4 or more of what was made available in 1/22 gathering dust in warehouses and pharmacy shelves.

There are 3 areas where about an hour your time could make a very large difference to us, if you have the right expertise:

-Advise me about how to effectively get the word out to doctors, many of whom have not heard about Evusheld or have misconceptions about it.

-Advise me about how to effectively use social media to bring attention to the problem. Like lots of people here, I am an introvert who is happy strolling around alone ruminating and listening to music. And I HATE Facebook & Twitter. I am not shy, but I have no idea how to make a splash in settings like that.

-Check over 3 lists I have made to help people determine if they are likely to be immunocompromised enough to need Evusheld. One is a list of illnesses that cause immunocompromise; one is a list of treatments that cause it; and one is a list of autoimmune diseases often treated with immune suppressing drugs. I have already removed the major, obvious errors. You probably need to be an MD or an immunology researcher to catch those that remain.

I cannot pay you. We have no funding at all, and are working for free. On the other hand, it's a great project & wouldn't take much of your time. I'd be happy to compensate you with info from my own area of expertise, clinical psychology. I specialize in OCD and other anxiety disorders, but could probably give some useful advice about getting help with most psych issues.
