Welcome to the Astral Codex Ten Book Rankings survey! All books are scored using quadratic voting (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadratic_voting). You get 100 votes, and for each book you rate, its cumulative score increases by the square root of the number of votes you give it. This incentivizes you to spread your votes around.

After all votes are in, I will post a list of the books by total score as well as another list that uses a 'magic formula' that can help highlight rarely seen but highly-rated books.

INSTRUCTIONS

Please format your data as follows:

'BookName', 'AuthorLastName', ISBN-13, Score

...

Use this site to look up ISBNs (https://isbnsearch.org/).

Example:
Unsong, Alexander, , 64
Lord of the Rings, Tolkein, 23456, 36

For the above example, Unsong receives +8 score, and Lord of the Rings receives +6. Unsong is not given an ISBN because it does not have one.

Things to keep in mind:

Use the ISBN-13 not the ISBN-10
For books without ISBNs, leave the field blank.
For book series, please use the name of the series and the ISBN of the first edition of the first book.
If you are unsure of which entry to choose your ISBN from on the site provided, choose the first.
I will normalize your votes if they do not add up to 100. Negative votes will not count.
Do not vote for books you do not like. The book rankings will emerge from the composite of everybody's votes, not from the order of the books you vote on.
