Cause of death revealed for Legacy High School student who died after June practice

The coroner's office has released the identity and cause of death of a Legacy High School freshman who died suddenly after a June athletic practice.

The official report identified 13-year-old Chino Yelum Cajetan Nsofor of North Las Vegas as the student who died due to cardiac dysrhythmia on June 28, 2021.

Other significant conditions that contributed to the young boys' death include human rhinovirus/enterovirus, cardiomegaly, and a genetic variant of uncertain significance, says the report, which was sent out on December 20.

The manner of his death was ruled to be natural.
