Towson University student found dead in his room

A Towson University student has died after being found unresponsive in his room Tuesday afternoon.

The university identified the student as 18-year-old Merbin Andres "Dre" Carattini.

The university said Baltimore County police are investigating and there was no threat to the campus at any time.

On Twitter, the university added:

We cannot share any additional details regarding Dre’s death at this stage of the investigation. As we are able, we will share more information, including any plans for celebrating Dre's life.
